Elbow Joint Replacement / Arthroplasty
ELBOW REHABILITATION after injury or surgery is of critical importance. The paient owns his/her elbow and so the patient is the primary carer for his/her elbow. The surgeon is the primary advisor aided by the rehabilitation team. However, the patient needs to take primary responsibility.

Golden Rules Of Elbow Rehabilitation Exercises
1) The patient/partner is in charge of His/Her own elbow
2) No physiotherapist

4) You should not push so hard that you can’t maintain the motion for a full 5 minutes
5) Maintain the position which transitions from discomfort to pain
6) DO NOT PUSH PAST THE TRANSITION POINT
7) Exercise every mealtime (4 times per day)
8) Exercises – 30 minutes for each plane of gain
9) Ice/cool – 30 minutes after each exercise session
10) Some contractures may require brace useage
11) Continue exercises/ice until skin scar turns white
12) IF IN ANY DOUBT – CALL Dr.KAMINENI / Team
